Today is the Global Recycling Day

After the Science week we have become even more conscious about the importance of taking care of our planet.On the black paper we have written sentences about how we used to do when it comes to recycling, reusing and reducing waste and our consumption of water and electricity. On the orange paper we have posted what we are doing now after working on this topic during Science week.
Together we can make our world a better place!!!

Science week, 2019

2nd edition of Science week!

Last week, 8th-12 th April, we carried out the 2nd edition of Science week at Vila-romà. We called it “Zero waste challenge” And the main objective was to learn more about how to take care about our planet, focusing on recycling, reusing and reducing.

English teachers working together with the tutors in all cycles from preschool to 6th grade. We also did different kinds of workshops using reusing plastic bottles, cardboard, toilet paper rolls egg and milk package.

At PE class the students enjoyed themselves playing fun games all about recycling and taking care of our planet. We have enjoyed these activities and we also hope that we will do our best to save this planet, make it a healthier place to live in!

GEP2 on fire!

We have already started to implement GEP year 2! 

The project is called Let's be healthy! Deciding our school menu.

Year 6 students would have to decide which school menu is the best choice in turns of healthy food! They will be able to design a school menu after different activities, and convince the others that their own menu is the best choice! We will also have the visit of the Nutritionist of the Palamós Hospital and he will help us in the final decision. 

We hope they enjoy it!

Surprisingly, we have received an email from the Nutritionist of Palamós Hospital!

The next activity will be the Padlet about the improvement of the school snacks.

Food truck project

This year the students from 6th grade are working on a project.
The topic chosen was, Food trucks, so we had to decide which food are we going to sell, the prices, the name of the food truck and of course, the funny part, BUILDING IT!

Today we finished our truck models, and they are AMAZING! Check them out!

A special work about gardening has been growing up in our School.

GEP year 2

During term 1, a group of teachers from schools of Girona have been learning new technichs to achieve English methodologies to learn English!

European day of languages

The last 26th of September we celebrated the European day of languages at school by asking our students where are they from and the languages they speak at home.

We put together a map with all the locations and we translated the word "amic" in different languages.

We've got friends from all around the world!
